I am sitting on the sofa, trussed up like a chicken, staring out at the garden. A pair of greenfinches have taken up residence on the bird feeder. Bees are hanging out on the lavender, making the long stalks bend and bounce as they move from purple head to purple head. Lots of butterflies too, white, blue and tortoise shell. What a feast it all is to see after weeks of brick walls! Just great to be home. This time I intend to stay here for a long long time and no more climbing on sofas, or climbing on anything, come to that!
The sunshine is great. Last night I lay in bed and listened to the beating rain. I long to hear some thunder and see some bright white lightening...
That's all for now. Thanks for all your supportive messages. Will be back soon; meantime hope summer is good for everyone (winter for you antipodeans). Those packing suitcases and heading of for holidays, have a great time. High fives north south east and west. tch xx

Hi Tessa, great to read this blog. Your lust for life & amazing positive attitude is awesome. Enjoy that garden, watch those birds & bees, indulge all your senses, eat everything you fancy and you'll soon be at the roundabout. Love lynn x
Really nice to read that things have improved. All good here. I've just installed a garden shed and John has made some me some shelves. Today is a lovely sunny Sydney winter day and I'm going to fill up my shed with all the stuff that's junking up the spare room and the garden.
Love from the deep south K xxx
Just caught up again what were you thinking of, climbing on to the sofa! For goodness sake T. Please take care and remember Luigi is there to play Tarzan not you! Love as always XXXP
Tessa, so happy you have managed to get back home and enjoy the beauty of your garden and it's visitors:) We have had the most amazing storms with thunder and lightening over the river perfect to watch from my balcony. Fingers crossed your bloods stay up and you are home for a long time.
Love and hugs to you and Luigi and hope to see you soon xxx
So pleased to hear you got home, keep safe Ianx
Dear Tessa - catching up on blogs after being in Cuba with the girls and then retiring (!!!??!!) has kept me busy - have been kept up to date by Melanie though. So glad you are home, thank god you are so open plan! must make moving around whilst you are so encumbered a bit easier. Hope I can see you when I next come up to London. Lots of love Lisa xx
Finally on holiday. College was like a ghost town during the end of July. Felt a bit pointless and depressing sitting in an empty hot office. So sped off early and had start of holiday blow out meal. Now back to healthy nutritious stuff eg Lorraine Pascale's Thai Trout. Am still going for an evening walk down to the sea wall but instead of a pint of Kentish lager I'm having fizzy water or diet Pepsi. I could easily have fish and chips and champagne for the rest of my life if I didn't watch it! I'm thinking of spaghetti alla puttanesca for tonight. Off for a walk along the front before it gets too hot. Ciao!
Tessa, you poor thing. No more stunts.. Danny is in Venice doing something for the Biennale. but you're obviously not there. Thank heavens you're home though, and great news about the bloods being up. We are going to join him in a weeks time.
big Love
