Dear all, thanks so much for blog messages, emails and texts. Always brilliant to hear from you. This chemo regime is totally wiping me out, hense lack of blog. Today I have managed a cup of tea and two biscuits. Great diet control, but not what I need. I want to be in Oban with Cathy and John, watching calm blue waters and seals. Back sometime. Tch

Hi Tess
Seem to be back on the blog. You lot are beating the pants off us at the Olympics. Keep up the fighting spirit and thoughts of the beach holiday in OZ.

Hi Tessa,
sending a love from Havelock.
I hope next week will bring some brighter days to your schedule.
I hope you got to watch some Olympics as it's been amazing last night and I am not even team GB.
Lots of love Lenks
Hi Tessa
Just catching up on your blog back from Italy - I can't begin to imagine how you endure the procedures which you describe so eloquently - you have the strength of an Amazon - just keep vanquishing the Leucs.
Italy was just lovely - a great holiday - even got Chris swimming in the lAKE EVERY MORNING AT 7.30AM!
Look forward to seeing you when you are feeling stronger.
Much love from Pip & Chris xxx

As a brother in arms thought I'd share my more trivial ear progress. Infection has become neuralgia and now vertigo. I'm walking around like I'm drunk. May as well be done with it and have that pint of Kentish lager in my hand permanently. I was meant to visit Ian McLaren's archive on Thursday but was too dizzy to get in the car. Ian was a designer on the Munich 72 team. A couple of my students visited the exhibition of Munich 1972 Olympic posters in canterbury then came up to Whitstable. One of them did a poster in the style of Munich. It was an image of a Mr Whippy emulating the Olympic torch. I know it's tough at the moment locked away in your room but look out at Crystal Palace and think you'll be having a great Italian meal again very soon. Waiter! Prosecco immediately! Now I'm off to the doctors to give him an earful – literally!
Hi Tessa Thinking of you and hoping you are having a better day. At least you have no excuse for lying around watching the Olympics. I went on Friday evening and watched Jess Ennis doing her shot put and 200m. It was an incredible atmosphere. I have never been anywhere where there are so many people but it didn't feel uncomfortable and you could walk to areas with beautiful flowers, trees and peace and quiet. I will send you a Bowen later this afternoon, hope you feel a lift Janet x
